I'm Gaby (she/her), and I am a certified Spinning instructor, with a special focus on recovery and endurance building. A former Division III Collegiate tennis player,  seven-time marathon runner and long time indoor cycling enthusiast, movement has always been a key part of my life.

In January of 2020, I was diagnosed with Stage 3b Hodgkin's Lymphoma, a form of blood cancer. Exercise was the farthest thing from my mind, and when I started chemotherapy treatments, even walking became incredibly difficult. I lost years of training and muscle mass in a month. My body was healing from the cancer but emotionally, I was grappling with the loss of my fitness identity.

My indoor cycling bike became my life line. During active treatment, any time I was well enough to get on, was amazing. Post-treatment, riding consistently in my basement helped me regain confidence and strength. However, I couldn't keep up with the beat drops, big pushes and speed traditional cycling instructors teach to. I saw a gap, and I wanted to fill it. I set on the course to become a certified Spinning instructor.

I know recovery - from anything - can be scary, discouraging and isolating. You may be comparing yourself to your previous self (something I do, all the time). But my goal with FORWARD is to offer a safe space to help you regain your confidence, on and off the bike. I hope that together, we can honor and celebrate our body's incredible achievements, taking it one day, one ride, at a time. I am here to help YOU - together we will move FORWARD, through good tunes, thoughtful programming and virtual high fives.

I am a communications and public relations professional, living outside Boston with my husband, stepson, rescue chihuahua - rat terrier mix, leopard gecko, and our backyard birds. I love baking and cooking, getting lost in a good book and jigsaw puzzles.
